Written in 1979 by Michael O'Riordan; former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland (1917-2006), the booklet traces the links between the Russian Revolution and Irish Independence. The booklet focuses upon Soviet successes in uniting all the different nationalities and ethnic groups of the USSR. O'Riordan contrasts this development with the disharmony of Northern Ireland, which continued to suffer from 'years of British imperialist policies of "divide and rule"'.

(write review)Very interesting
"If you're an Irish Socialist this is a great read, very interesting. Well written and puts some perspective on what the USSR thought of Ireland and our struggle as well as the Irish attitude towards the USSR" Clover - Friday 25 June 2021
